Smith & Wesson Model 10-5 .38 Special in Nickel w/ leather holster. Gun is in very good shape and has never failed to go bang for me. Have owned this for several years but I am not the first owner, not sure how far down the line I am. The grips are solid but I would guess they are not real stag horn.

Holster was made in San Antonio by the Alamo Leather Goods Co. There is a name and some numbers on inside of holster that has been marked over with a marker. Probably the original owner.

$300 for the gun and holster, $25 to ship. I am not an ffl so you will need to find an ffl who is okay with receiving from an individual. Payment types - Money Order, Certified Check, or Personal Check and I will hold until it clears. Any questions let me know.

I've been doing some research to buy an IWB holster for my G27. I would like to know if anyone has experience with this holster. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about the Super Tuck but I'm not crazy about the clips on those. The clips on the Spartan seem a little less eye catching and possibly more adjustable.

Hope this is the appropriate place and that I have not posted about it before. We have a gathering twice yearly(April/Oct) near Rockingham, NC at a shooting sports 4-H camp close to Ellerbe(Rockingham Race Track). This year it is 15-17 Oct. We have the "run" of the camp, ranges, lake, dining hall, and kitchen. We have been doing this for about a dozen years and it is quite an informative fun family outing. Cost is negligible at $5 per night per adult for the nicely renovated cabins or tent/RV free. About $20 for food covers five meals. There is a Dutch Oven Cooking Contest Sat. afternoon and a fish fry Friday evening so folks don't have to worry about cooking. Mornings are "dun right" with country ham, eggs, jams/jellies, and even hash browns for the "yankees"-lol. Pancakes/cereals/waffles for the young and young at heart. There are "classes" scattered through out the day and evening on all kinds of survivalist/pioneering skills. BS circles abound around the campfire circle, fireplace, and porches. Ranges(100 rifle/50 pistol/shotgunn/skeet/archery) are open constantly and we have competitions for youth and adults. Last year a cute whiff of a little girl with a pink 22 out shot all the boys--she was strutting afterwards and smiling from ear to ear. PM for details/pics/info on past events. Folks often come in from several states-Fla/Penn/Tenn/Al/Ga/Vir and even New Jersey. Last year we had one from Ohio-he is planning on coming back to this one. We have a grand time, learn lots about providing for our families, eat extremely well, and leave with a renewed confidence that we can face harsh times and overcome them. It is an open carry state but we simply ask that no one have a loaded gun while showing it to others or if unholstered. I have a hole in me from an "empty gun". We have always had a wonderful time, have met many dear friends, and learned from many knowledgeable folks. There are folks attending from "ditch diggers" like me to nuclear physicist and college profs. Like Will Rogers said: "I never met a man I did not like"--- and I have never met anyone at one of the gatherings that I did not like. Hope to see some folks from here and if you do you will look forward to the next ones with --as Tony the Tiger says---Greeeeaaaaattt anticipation.

I have been waiting almost three years for Hi Point Firearms to start sending out the 4595 carbine. Finally Hi Point has shipped some out. I want one in the worse way. Now I have a Norinco SKS with about 800 rounds of ammo, I really love my SKS and do not wish to part with it. But I am thinking about selling my SKS so I can get the 4595. For two reasons
1. Money is kind of tight right now..
2. Wife does not have the interest in guns and would be pissed if I purchused another one.

We have way too many hatemongers on this site. maybe if they have to show and prove where they live, they will be a little more respectful, instead of being able to post hateful messages under obscurity.

I run tec support for Sunday service at church, sound lighting and when BHO was elected to office we had several weepers, people who were so elated he was elected to office they were about to cry, yeah it really annoyed me to hear them take the Mic when the pastor asked for blessing or needs..... Damn but it was hard to resist hitting the mute button....

Fast forward to todays (first traditional) service, in the sermon part of the subject was that 94% of American believe in God, and in the context he asked how many believe in Barrack Obama.... you could hear the crickets it was so quiet, so recanting he said "let me rephrase that show of hands, how many believe there is a president Barrack Obama..... NOT ONE HAND WAS RAISED!!! including the weepers of the past....

Second service (praise service = more kids) he repeated the experiment, this time he got a grand total 3 students to respond out of over 100 people...... No one wants to acknowledge BHO in his presidency what a change, Humm I wonder if that was the change BHO was talking about...

Our friends at Liberty Counsel have arranged a special "Welcome Back" package of thousands of "Vote of No Confidence" statements to be hand delivered on September 13th to Capitol Hill, the day Congress reconvenes.

Congressional leaders Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner will learn first-hand how widespread Americans' distrust is toward President Obama and his radical ideological basis for "change."
Quote:

The "Vote of No Confidence" Statement declares:

As a concerned citizen, I am freely and strongly expressing my "Vote of No Confidence" in: President Barack Obama and his executive administration; his blatant disregard of his oath of office; his issuing of unconstitutional mandates; his rampant, systematic expansion of government; his overt disregard for the clear will of the American people; and his subversion of our Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold.

By signing this statement, I am joining with Liberty Counsel and citizens across the nation who are acknowledging the failure of Barack Obama's presidency and calling for an immediate end to:

*

The advancement of "Big Brother" policies and the overt takeover of American industries, including misguided bailouts and stimulus packages that have done did little or nothing to improve unemployment or our economy.
*

The bankrupting of America through uncontrolled government spending coupled with the creation of a crippling and insurmountable national debt.
*

The weakening of the United States through a foreign policy that emboldens America's enemies, kow-tows to other nations' leadership, and intentionally undermines America's image as an exceptional nation.
*

The liberalizing our courts of law through radical nominees and appointments while promoting international law (including Islamic Sharia law) at the expense of our own legal code.
*

The nurture of a political environment exhibiting corruption, kickbacks, and pervasive "buying" of congressional votes with special favors and earmarks.
*

The consistent catering to special interest groups that are advancing the homosexual agenda, funding abortion with our tax dollars, curtailing citizens' free expression of deeply held beliefs, and generally undermining the rights and privileges of American citizenship.

Mr. President,
Your imperial style of leadership, your pervasive socialist agenda, your unconstitutional public policies, and your subversion of our rights are grossly out of touch with the desires and best interests of the vast majority of Americans. I hereby declare my "Vote of No Confidence" in your leadership and call for "change that WE can believe in" !

State Department Squirms On Garand And Carbine Imports

Friday, September 03, 2010

A lot of things have changed in the federal government since President Harry S. Truman put his famous "the buck stops here" sign on his desk. This week, Fox News reported that it couldn't get a straight answer from the State Department about its decision in March to disapprove the importation of more than 800,000 M1 Garand rifles and M1 carbines from South Korea.

According to Fox, the State Department claimed that the rifles might be used "for illicit purposes." But when asked to explain, State passed the buck to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which passed it to the Department of Justice, which passed it back to State.

The anti-gun Brady Campaign didn't hesitate to give Fox an answer, however. "Guns that can take high-capacity magazines are a threat to public safety," the group's Dennis Henigan told reporter Maxim Lott.

Of course, Henigan's response was factually flawed. The M1 Garand does not "take" a "high-capacity" magazine; its magazine is built in, and holds only eight rounds. That's three fewer than the 11 rounds necessary for a magazine to be restricted as a "large capacity" magazine under California's law, which the Brady Campaign calls a "model for the nation," or the federal ban of 1994-2004 (which the group still advocates as a fall-back position in the event that Congress doesn't impose something more severe).

Since sales of imported firearms are subject to the national instant background check, Henigan's position was also hypocritical. To justify not letting the M1s and carbines into the U.S., Henigan essentially took the position that the instant check is not enough to protect public safety. But at other times, Brady takes the position that public safety requires us to impose the same instant checks on sales of firearms by people who are not dealers.

Finally, the "public safety" fear of these guns is irrational. Today, Americans own more Garands and carbines than ever before. We also own more semi-automatic rifles in general than ever before, and more self-defense handguns with standard magazines that hold more than 10 rounds than ever before. Yet despite gun ban groups' predictions, the nation's violent crime rate is at a 35-year low.

Since these 2 guns are similar, would anybody know if the Glock 19 kydex IWB holster would fit the Sigma?

As long as secular law continues to allow for women to vote, I allow my wife to vote... provided I approve of her sample ballot beforehand. In a way, this is not bad for me, because I essentially get to vote twice!

On the other hand, there are many liberal, false Christians who do not assert their authority over their wives and daughters. And there are the women of other false religions and the atheo-fascist secular elites who don\'t care what their husband or father thinks. Any benefit a True Christian husband derives from having his wife cast a second vote on his behalf is no doubt squandered by these other women voting based on their hormones and not on Biblical Principles.

The Nineteenth Amendment was a travesty in the history of America, and I support its full repeal.

And while Sarah Palin is a truly inspirational, cutting-edge female politician years ahead of her time in terms of the ideas Todd has planted in her head, I can not and will not support the idea of women in elected office... Maybe a school board, but that\'s it. For every Sarah Palin, there are ten baby-killing, handout-giving, libtard women imposing their secular agenda on us. On principle, I cannot vote for Sarah Palin. My vote is for Mike Huckabee or Rick Perry!

We thought we would try making some videos of everday objects being shot to see if they are "Bulletproof" or can at least stop a bullet. So for the fisrt episode we thought we would start with a bowling ball. Check it out and see if a bowling ball could save your life when bullets and bowling balls start to fly.
